1.
(Photoshop CS recommended)

Ok take your photo that you want to edit. I picked one that I took for our local newspaper when they wanted photos on street cars.

So here is my photo as it looks before I’ve touched it.
Looks Okay right?
Well check this out…

 2.
You see where you have the layers, well there is a black and white ball underneath it, click it and choose curves, then a diagram will pop up. Be sure to have the preview on so you see how much you should change in the diagram. What you should do is take 2 points one at the bottom and one at he top. You can see where I put my points. Well then just move the points around until you notice that your photo is looking good.

 3.
Next thing you can do is go to filter -> sharpen -> unsharp mask… and change the settings so that your photo will look sharp and nice.

 4.
I used
Amount: 29%
Radius:1,6 pixels
Threshold: 0 levels.
Big pictures before and after.
Before and After
 5.
And that’s about it, now can you see the difference? And this took what… one minute? But you have to remember that these photos were taken with my Canon A70 3.2 megapixels so it’s really hard to actually get a good quality with that kind of camera.
